தினைப்புனங்காப்போர் தட்டை என்னும் பறையை அடித்துத் ஒலி எழுப்பினால்,
அப்புனத்திற்கு அருகே, வளைந்த கதிர்களையுடைய வயல்களிலிலும்,
நீர் மிகுந்த கடற்கரையிலும் உள்ள பறவைகள் எல்லாம் ஒன்றுசேர்ந்து எழுகின்றனவே.
சேரன் கோக்கோதை மார்பனின் நாடு குறிஞ்சி நிலமுடையதால் அவனை நாடன் (குறிஞ்சி நிலத் தலைவன்) என்பேனா?
அவன் நாடு மருத நிலமுடையதால் அவனை ஊரன் (மருத நிலத் தலைவன்) என்பேனா?
